Where is Trang An and Bai Dinh?

Trang An and Bai Dinh belongs to Ninh Binh province, about 90 km southeast of Hanoi, the Trang An landscape complex has been recognized by UNESCO as the "first mixed heritage in the Eastern region of Vietnam "South Asia” in June 2014.
Trang An is recognized as second Halong bay on river is a complex place which consists of 3 areas with a total area of 12,000 ha, of which 6,000 ha is the core area, including: Trang An cave area, Hoa Lu ancient capital area and Bai Dinh pagoda area.
Bai Dinh Pagoda has long story of Buddhism with famous monk of Nguyen Minh Khong (Ly Quoc Su), who cured King Ly Than Tong's illness at the biological medicine garden of Bai Dinh pagoda.

Visiting Bai Dinh pagoda you can enjoy the 100 m high Bao Thien tower is the tallest Buddha tower in Asia up to the present time; Maitreya Buddha statue weighing 90 tons is located on Ba Rau hill; bell tower with a bell weighing 36 tons is the largest bell in Vietnam at present; The statue of Shakyamuni weighing 100 tons, inlaid with gold, has been recorded by the Asian Record Book as "the largest bronze and gold-plated statue in Asia".
Bai Dinh Pagoda is also selected to organize the World Vesak Congress with more than 100 countries attending in 2008 and 2014.

08:00 – 08:30 Our guide will meet you at your hotel/stay and drive for 90km on bus-journey through verdant landscape of countryside, short-break en route.
11:00 Arrive Bai Dinh pagoda complex, get on electric cars to visit massive architecture: 500 stone statues of Arhats; Bell tower with 27 tons and 36 tons bronze bell; Golden statue of Goddess of Mercy, walk up summit mountain where 100 tones in weight – 10 meter in heights bronze statue of Bhudda Sakyamuni located. Amazing views, sacred atmospheres and intriguing Buddhism story presented by our insider guide; you cannot fail to enchant.
13:00 Enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant
14:00 Take sampan boat in Trang An for 2:30 minutes trip to enjoy spectacular labyrinth of mirrored waters studded with towering, jungle-clad limestone outcrops. Gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous caves: Hang Toi, 320-meter-long, Sang cave, 90 meter long, and Hang Nau Ruou, 250 meter long… Every passage brings new surprise of mystery hidden inside isolated valleys of tranquility that likely transformed to another world and time.
After boat trip you can cycling on rural roads alongside the extensive canal network and through small villages with backdrops of a maze of limestone mountains
About 17:00 we get on bus to return to Hanoi
20:00 Arrive back to your hotel/ accommodation in Hanoi. Trip ends.
