Itinerary
DAY 1 Luang Prabang Arrival
Upon arrival, you go to custom desk to get visa-on-arrival and pay stamping fees directly in cash to custom office then met your guide outside for transfer to the hotel for check in. After a soft rest, we visit Wat Xiengthong - the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang with many mosaic decorated and former royal carriage. Royal Palace Museum, with many nice artifacts. The next visit is Ock Pop Tock to learn the traditional weaving in Laos. We also climbing up Mt Phousi to have. Finish with a see around night market, where local people sale lots of lovely handmade textiles
DAY 2 Luang Prabang City Tour – Pak Ou Caves - Ban Chan
Having breakfast then we visit local market near the Royal Palace you have chance to eyes enrich many kinds of fresh vegetables, rice, streamed fish, frogs, chicken, pigs... Embark on the a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, the trip will give you a stunning nice view of the countryside, then reach up the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, there are two caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues and various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we go up to see village named Ban Xanghai to enrich how local people make rice wine. If time permits we visit Ban Chan villages whre people specialized in manufacturing and selling products made from silk and Saa paper for many years ago. You’ll see different kinds of Laos’ traditional crafts.
DAY 3 Luang Prabang – Elephant Village – Kuang Si Waterfalls
Enjoy breakfast thend head up to elephant village where camp manage waiting for you and short brief about the village then enjoy 30 minute try to ride elephant to have great experience after that you take boat trip to the nearby jungle. One of the hihlight spot to visit today is Kuang Si Falls, 30 kilometers south of Luang Prabang. The bigest waterfall in Laos. Of cause you can have a swim in the pools and trek around the falls. and Butterfly Park, one of the must-visit spots, opened from 2014. There are some nice villages on the way back to Luang Prabang if time permits we can have a visit to one village before getting to Wat Siphouthabath to enjoy sunset.
DAY 4 Luang Prabang – Vientiane – City Tour
Today we take flight from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. Meet your local guide and drive to hotel for check in. Take a short rest before visiting Vientiane-the quite capital of Laos. First we visit Vat Ho Prakeo used to be the house of the Emerald Buddha. We connect you with COPE, an association helping landmine victims to understand more about history of the American/Vietnam war and the impact of unexploded ordinances (UXO) in the area and diferent fforts try to clear them.
Afternoon, we visit Laos Revolutionary Museum, to know about French colonial time, and the reign of the King Anou and Chao Fa Ngum. Nearby is Ban Nong Bouathong, people here weaving for centuries as village heirloom profession, Next, we’ll take you to That Luang, one of the holiest site in Laos it was Constructed in the 16th century under King Setthethirat. That Luang is so resplendent as the sun shining upon its towering golden spire. At sunset we stroll along banks of the Mekong River and enjoy a cold drink of take photo of nice scenery.
DAY 5 Vientiane – Buddha Park – Departure
Today morning, we visit Wat Si Muang, famous for its supernatural power. We continue to drive for 30 minute to come to Buddha Park known as Xieng Khuan with more 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. walk around the Park to feel the quiet and peaceful of the Mekong River then drive back to Vientiane. Stop some village to experience the traditional textiles of the Lao people. Their main products are high quality silk then transfer you to the airport for next flight.
