BirdLife Organization has ranked Vietnam as one of the world's leading countries in terms of biodiversity and number of threatened bird species. According to statistics, the bird's system in Vietnam includes more than 870 species. Among them, there are 12 are endemic (standing top 1 in Southeast Asia about the list of endemic species ), and 3 are endemic, more over there 43 are globally threatened.

we invite you to Da Lat Endemic Bird Area because here is the best to do bird watching in the country. It belongs to Central Highlands of Vietnam in the mountains from 900 to 2300 m high.This endemic bird area is large about rough 6000 km² in the Lam Dong Province and some areas of Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan.
In term of botany this area is full of plant evergreen forest special pine forest. There are eight bird species with almost all species found in the montane evergreen forest. Three species have completely asserted for the area. they are Gray-cheeked babbler, yellow throat. more over, this endemic bird has many endemic subspecies, such as Garrulax merglinus annamensis, and is also considered by some authors as a separate species.
