The northeast mountainous area of Ba Be, Cao Bang, and Lang Son offers breathtaking yet unspoiled sceneries and some of the remote ethnic minority people for those thirsty for adventures of the Far East. Leave the hustle and bustle of Hanoi behind, drive to admire the scenic landscapes of towering limestone mountains, evergreen forests, waterfall, caves with some overnights on local homestay in Ba Be Lake and the magnificence of Vietnam’s best known waterfall.

Full Itinerary
DAY 1    Hanoi – Lang Son – Cao Bang    Meals: L,D    
Our guide will pick you up from the hotel for your North- East Adventure Tour 5days 4nights, leaving Hanoi for a three-hour drive to Lang Son City on the A1 National Highway.  Via Lang Son - a border town of Vietnam and China on the scenic road. Visit Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh Grottos and pagodas. You will have lunch local restaurant in Lang Son.

Afternoon, we continue driving along the spectacular mountain roads to Cao Bang. The journey is filled with mind boggling views of lush valleys, village hamlets, distant mountains, and on reaching Cao Bang. You’ll find the peace and relaxing on the way along the countryside. We then arrive at Cao Bang in the late afternoon.  After dinner, free leisure to discover Cao Bang town on your own. 

DAY 2    Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang    Meals: B,L,D    
After breakfast, drive along the Chinese border to visit the impressive Ban Gioc Waterfall, it is one of the most impressive natural sights in Vietnam.  With its three-tiers of water, it resembles a giant white staircase. You can swim if you want and then enjoy a picnic lunch near the waterfall. Return to Cao Bang for overnight.

DAY 3    Cao Bang – Ba Be    Meals: B,L,D    
Morning after breakfast we depart from Hotel in Cao Bang to drive along an adventurous way to Ba Be Lake, the driving time is approximately about 2.5 hours. Arrival, you start taking a 2 hours walk on flat road through Ba Be national park to Pac Ngoi village. You’ll have picnic lunch on the way. After lunch, transfer to your homestay in Pac Ngoi village of Tay people.

If you’re not tired, you can walk around and interact with the Tay people in the village.

DAY 4    Boat Cruise Around Ba Be Lake    Meals: B,L,D    
Today we will spend the whole day visiting the beauty of Ba Be Lakes in a local hand-crafted wooden canoe. We will transfer to a boat dock, then glide along the river and to a nearby cave. Lunch is served near a beautiful waterfall.
After lunch, we canoe our hearts’ out navigating into the tranquility of Ba Be Lakes. The afternoon’s activities could include swimming and trekking, or sometimes a short visit to the ethnic minority villages. Rest at dinner then you are free to learn about the local people – Overnight at the homestay.

DAY 5    Ba Be – Hanoi    Meals: B,L    
Morning, we leave the peaceful home stay to return Hanoi. We stop on the way to visit the Museum of the cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic group that opened in 1959. It’s the best museum about the Cultures of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups. Lunch at a local restaurant

Arrive in Hanoi at 3.30 PM. End of service at your hotel.
